Sofia’s Star is an amazing single varietal named to honor Sofia’s mother who died when Sofia was only 12 years old.  It has an amazing fruit-forward nose with a beautiful dark cherry bouquet.

TASTING:  Medium-bodied, this 100% Syrah has a taste of blackberry, dark cherry, boysenberry, and white pepper.  This amazing single varietal has a tight grip and a soft finish.

PAIRING:  Grilled lamb with roasted mushrooms. 

AGING:  20 months in 80% French oak and 20$ American Oak barrels

VARIETAL:  90% Syrah | 10% Petite Sirah

VINEYARD:  Santa Ynez Valley        

ALC:  15.2% by vol.

NAMED AFTER:  Sofia’s mother, a ballet dancer on ice, who died when Sofia was only 12 years old.
