2020 Risktaker Reserve

Risktaker Saver is derived from the Santa Ynez Valley of California. This amazing release of a unique red wine is handcrafted with love and passion. Enjoy the fruit-forward aroma of cherries and blackberries combined with sandalwood. The tannins are soft, yet pronounced. It is a delightful, medium-bodied wine that is a true example of a GSM with a twist. The amazing change for a traditional GSM is the change from a Syrah to a Sangiovese.  It is a remarkable and complex wine that changes with every taste.

TASTING:  Easy to drink and medium-bodied. This medium-bodied cab starts with fruit-forward aromas followed by a beautiful black currant spice. On the palate, you will pick up a touch of boysenberry, sandalwood, and cherry.

PAIRING:  Goes great with burgers, short ribs, steaks, or pizza and anything with tomato sauce, mushrooms, or cheese such as gouda or cheddar.

AGING:  18 months in 80% french and 20% American barrels.

VARIETAL:  50% Grenanche | 25% Sangiovese | 25% Mouovedre

VINEYARD:  Santa Ynez Valley

ALC:  14.6% by vol.
