A Vision Realized…

When starting out on this journey, we were never 100% sure how we would get where we wanted to go. All we knew was that we really enjoyed the times we shared with our family and friends. It was almost as if everything seemed to revolve around that one pastime.

After all, is that not what life is all about? Being happy?

When I was in college, I studied English and Romantic literature. There is one passage that I have always loved, and it is the cornerstone for the start of this journey.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms.

So, we are on a mission. We hope that each of you finds the passion to live your dreams. In doing so, we pray that McClain Cellars will be there to celebrate life. That is the joy of this journey. Doing what you want in the time you have left.

What Matters Most

Family

The most important foundation of our lives. No, you can not choose your family, but you can choose to love them for who they are. Making a choice to spend time with those you love is a great opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine. Break the ice…  get closer. Life is too short.

Friends

The best remedy for a long day. Nothing beats hanging with your mates and sharing a glass of laughter. The more, the better. Tell a story. Get deep. Share your hopes, dreams, and fears. Friends give us the support we need to grow. Nothing is better than good friends and good wine.

Faith

What do we believe? Not the things our parents believed….  but what do we believe as adults? It’s a choice we get to make. That power to have faith propels us to success and out of despair. When you find yourself contemplating what is right and what is wrong… it’s your faith that tips the balance. Like the opening, middle, and finish of a good time…  it’s our faith that we hold dear to see us through the days we find it a struggle to simply get up.

Freedom

The ultimate destination for each of us upon this journey of life. Once we find these pillars, we have found our purpose. We stop asking why and start asking what’s next. When we have transcended to the next level….  we are finally ready to sit back and enjoy a glass of moments. The best moments that life has to offer.
