Description
Sofia’s Star is an amazing single varietal named to honor Sofia’s mother who died when Sofia was only 12 years old. It has a great fruit-forward nose with a beautiful dark cherry bouquet.
TASTING: Medium-bodied, this 100% Syrah tastes like blackberry, dark cherry, boysenberry, and white pepper. This fantastic single varietal has a tight grip and a soft finish.
PAIRING: Grilled lamb with roasted mushrooms.
AGING: 22 months in French oak barrels
VARIETAL: Syrah 90% | Petite Sirah 10%
VINEYARD: Santa Ynez Valley
ALC: 14.96% by vol.
NAMED AFTER: Sofia’s mother, a ballet dancer on ice, who died when Sofia was only 12 years old.
