Old Black Magic

Varietal:  Old Vine Zinfandel

Old Black Magic is an exclusive RESERVE vintage from 50-year-old vines. This wine is rich in flavor and offers a big mouthfeel. Barrel-aged for 1 year to add hints of cedar to this classic varietal.

TASTING: Medium-bodied. Starting with a fruit-forward aroma you will pick up a touch of boysenberry, black currant and a bit of cocoa.

PAIRING: A Cuban cigar sitting in front of the fireplace. Cream of wild mushroom soup followed by grilled lamb, asparagus, and a garlic mashed potatoes.

AGING: 12 months in American oak barrels

NAMED AFTER: The song ‘’Old Black Magic’’ sang by my father, Joe McClain, in 1961 on national TV. Watch the original video here.
